Chemistry is a natural science that studies substance. It was created out of alchemy, an old science that studied, among other things, to find the elixir of life and make gold from iron. The main objective of the today's chemists is to scrutinize the processes that are happening on the molecular level and get known more about the processes happen between various substances. Another purpose of this modern science is to find the laws that may explain the processes and phenomena in chemical reactions. That may assist to generate the required substances artificially. Chemistry cooperates very closely with biology and physics.

Inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry analytical chemistry, physical and biological chemistry are the chapters of general definition “Chemistry”.

The name of organic chemistry has been proposed because scientists believed that the organic components have the relation to the life. But today's chemistry has proved that not all the objects of organic chemistry are connected to the life and living organisms. On the contrary, lots of inorganic elements are necessary for some life processes, for example, cooper and iron.

The substances which comprise carbon and hydrogen are the main objects of experiments executed by organic chemistry. Their characteristics are studied in detail and the results of analysis are quite useful. A great deal of different products which we utilize in daily life has been created with help of organic components.

Analytical chemistry studies composition of organic and inorganic substances. It describes the geometric structure of molecules that assists to realize the reactions better. It studies the elements given, their combination and features. Analytical and physical chemistry are quite similar, due to they study the similar reactions but gain some various information from them. It is founded on the experiments and the results are very useful for providing the defense of the environmental and guarding the natural resources.
